How it began…
A few years ago, I sent off an old videotape to be digitized. I had no idea what was on it — it could have been nothing… or something priceless.
It was priceless.
Several weeks later I received an email saying my tape was ready to watch. When I pressed play, I instantly began to cry. Imagine hearing the voice of someone you haven’t heard in years — someone no longer here. After 11 years, I heard my grandmother’s voice again.
In that moment, I realized photos are precious… but voices, stories, and personality are what we truly long for. I knew I wanted to create something that could give others that same emotional gift.
What is the project?
The Family Legacy Project is a simple, guided way to tell the story of your life and preserve it for generations to come.
Using the FLP workbook, you’ll follow easy prompts and questions that help you record your memories right from your smartphone — your stories, your experiences, your wisdom, in your own voice.
Once your recordings are complete, they can be safely shared directly from your encrypted, permanently owned cloud storage account, ensuring your story is protected and always accessible to your family.

After completing your recordings, you can elevate your Family Legacy Project into a beautiful keepsake video. Your stories are paired with meaningful photos, creating a powerful experience your loved ones can watch, hear, and treasure for generations.
