I am an Explorer at Heart! So here are all the adventures and food stops I feel are worth the drive in and around Charlotte NC! Popular area's include North Davidson (NODA), South End, Moorseville, Ballantyne, Southpark, Lake Wylie, & Lake Norman!

Also if you have time in your trip be sure to visit places a few hours away like Asheville for the waterfalls and Bitmore estate and Wilmington.

Ingredients

North Charlotte. Homemade Ice cream. Chocolate Oreo is the BOMB and conveniently a co business with a pizzeria next door. Get dessert with dinner.

City of Charlotte. No reservations. Walk in early to reserve a spot at this fancy cute dessert lounge. Food is delicious too. Blue crab dip, chimichurri steak, anything chocolate are my go-to's!

Near the City. Hoping to check this place out soon but I always read about how she sells out of her delicious baked goods. Anything smores catches my attention.

A bit of a drive outside of south Charlotte into SC. These cupcakes are so worth it! Especially the Cannoli. So light and smooth. yum!

South Charlotte. Breakfast, Lunch, & dessert crepes. Can't even just pick one!

North Charlotte. If you love rich flavored sweets-be sure to try their cakes and they do have a nice selection of croissants and more!

Fell for their Gelato at a food festival and dream about it all the time. My visit is long overdue.

City of Charlotte. Dominican/Asian twist. Hookah. Salsa dancing after 11pm on Fri/sat nights. 

East Charlotte. Family run. Best Pho and spring rolls!

East Charlotte. Rice dishes and ohmygosh that butter chicken with some naan will be right up your alley. 

East Charlotte. Pizza, soups, pasta's to get ready and feel so stuffed like a turkey! I even ask for extra appetizer bread to go because they bake it everyday!!

City of Charlotte. One other location. Pad-see-eu  and their appetizers are soo good.

Discovered their food at a festival and you will never want to stop eating their pork cheeks! I can't wait to explore more of their menu. Upscale $$ and they have breakfast too

South Charlotte. Best Colombian empanadas (think of more meat less dough), Beef soup (Sancoho de Rez) on sat/sun and so much more delicious food. Don't leave without trying their Tres Leches Flan

South Charlotte. Instagram using sells me on a place if I haven't been and you must check out their insta! Breakfast/American/Bakery

 40 mins from Charlotte. Go Karts that go up to 55 mph. Large outdoor track! SO MUCH FUN! If you like speed.

Check out the music performances and comedy club in these small venues to enjoy a night out! Get tickets ahead of time!

Mainly indoor shopping, lots of food and Bar with outdoor seating and events! Lots to explore!

20 mins from city. Dust off those Skates in the closet or rent some at our old fashion indoor Kate's skating rink

Awesome exhibits -currently a Huge MARVEL exhibit that is going overseas after sept 2023. Also a IMAX Dome theater to sit back and feel like your in the movie!

Fun small beach at Lake Norman. 30 mins out of Charlotte. In Cornelius. Cost for parking only. Dog park too.

Extra's: Anne Spring's Greenway: 2,100 acres of lakes, forests, and pastures that include trails for hiking, biking, kayaking, and horseback riding.

Carowinds, District 57Sea Life Mall Aquarium, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte regionals farmer's market, Sweet union flea market, NC ZOO- The largest in the country, Hall Family farm, Ivy Farm, Movies at the park at Village park, Trolley Pub

South Charlotte. Dog Bar with nice outdoor and indoor space. Grooming and dog daycare available too

1.5 hrs from Charlotte! Our zoo is supposed to be the largest in the world after recent renovations :)

40 min from Charlotte. Nonprofit preserve for tigers & other endangered animals, with tours on weekdays except Wednesday. Also Zootastic Park

20 Mins from Charlotte. The Raptor Trail is a three-quarter mile walking trail and zoological facility that permanently houses more than thirty birds of prey and a medical facility.

Need reservations. Enjoy drinks and baked good while playing with kitty's and maybe even adopt one.

40 min drive. North-west of Charlotte. Reserve ahead of time.
